Install \(LaTeX{}\) on linux

In order to install \(LaTeX{}\) on your linux system you could install texlive for a basic subset of \(TeX{}\) Live’s functionality. Or you could install texlive-full for the complete \(TeX{}\) Live distribution.

So, simply run:

apt-get install texlive

apt-get install texlive-full

You could do a:

apt-cache search texlive

to see a complete list of texlive packages available for your operating system.

You should also install the recomended fonts:

apt-get install texlive-fonts-recommended

I use the \(TeX{}\) Maker editor. You can install it by running:

apt-get install texmaker
